Meadow has announced that it will be increasing its milk price by 0.5ppl from 1st November 2024, taking its standard litre milk price to 41.5ppl.
This third consecutive increase reflects previous positive movements in the dairy markets. However, AHDB is reporting that milk production is lifting quickly, with GB weekly milk volumes running 2.2% higher compared to the same time last year. Market prices have now started to ease, with cream and butter prices decreasing from last month’s record highs, while skim milk powder prices have remained stable.
Jonathan Evans, Head of Farms at Meadow, comments: “We are pleased to announce this latest increase in our farmgate milk price, which follows the 1ppl increase for October. We will continue to closely monitor the market situation and milk volumes and share developments with our producers.”
